Pure Grass Inspiration
Hi Everyone!
I wanted to share with you the inspiration behind one of my favorite Summer scents, Pure Grass!
The Inspo
Pure Grass was first created almost 3 decades ago. At the time, my grandparents were still alive and my husband and our dog Jagger and I would drive from NYC to Bowling Green, Ohio, every summer. As we made the right turn down “Euler Road”, I would open the windows and the scent of freshly mowed grass would call us to their home. Even our dog knew we were moments from a huge hug from my Grandma and a homemade meal made with love.
Times have certainly changed and with both my Grandparents gone for many years now, the Pure Grass scent still takes me right back to those wonderful summer days on the farm with my family. This week to celebrate those memories we have select Pure Grass items at 25% off with code 25GRASS through 6/11/24. Enjoy!
A little goes a long way
You may not know this but our plant-based detergent is super concentrated. All you need is 3 TBSP for a large load of laundry. It is also gentle enough for your delicates and hand washables as it has no sulfates, which can deteriorate fibers and colors. It is also suitable for hand washables and formulated for HE (high efficiency) machines. Shop Detergent!
Do you have a family member who would always show up to the barbecue with their signature dish? The one you ALWAYS looked forward to? This is my favorite, my Grandmas Baked Beans. I will make it this 4th of July for all our guests. You can also make a separate dish without the bacon for vegetarians like me!
Leave the clover and dandelions!
Did you know a sign of a healthy ecosystem and lawn are clovers and dandelions? That’s right!
Dandelions are wonderful to eat and I drink a tea from the leaves every morning. One way we can do our part to help slow down climate change is by keeping dandelions and clovers in our lawns. We need the biodiversity of the insects, as well as the bees to maintain a healthy ecosystem. Make sure not to mow them down and maybe consider rewilding your lawn. I interviewed Monique Allen, founder of the Garden Continuum on my Podcast. You can listen to her wonderful suggestions that might give you less work and more enjoyment! Listen to my podcast here!
