Happy Weekend!

I am so excited because outdoor life is in full swing for me now – how about you?

My tomatoes are already coming in and our herb garden is full and lush. This year I planted Tulsi or “Holy Basil”. It grows wild in many places, but in NYC mine is 23 floors up on my balcony in a planter!

I love it as a tea but just learned it is a cooking staple in India. I put a few leaves in cool water to drink (and of course eat the leaves when done). I find it so refreshing and it just makes me feel good, which makes sense as today I discovered it has so many health benefits for us. Lowering blood pressure and our glucose levels are just a few! You can read about it here.

Beach Days

I have started going to the beach regularly and I am happy to report that the whales and dolphins are back too! No matter how many times I see them, I still get excited!

One sighting that really doesn’t excite me is trash on the beach. It makes me so upset and the thought that our beautiful beaches and waters are not respected is heartbreaking to me. I have always done beach cleanups, but this time I am getting serious about it.

I bring a large bag to collect trash on my walk. A positive action against the negative action I witness always brings positivity to the issue for me. Here is me Memorial Day weekend. I walked 300 feet and picked up 10 lbs of trash. 10 lbs that is no longer going in the water.

Remember next time you go to the beach to bring a trash bag! It makes a difference!

Moisturize

Speaking of beach - you may have noticed we are currently low on Beach Days Detergent and Laundry Fragrance (Amazon has more), but we do have Beach Days Hand Lotion in stock!

Did you know this product is amazing on dry feet too?

I use it before I put my shoes on and I also do it every night before bed. It really makes a huge difference thanks to the abundance of aloe and sunflower seed oil in the ingredients. I keep a bottle next to my shoes to remind me. It has made a huge difference!

Ocean Healing

For my body I have discovered that this Osea product is AMAZING for my “older” skin. Honestly it has made a huge difference and I truly love all of their body products and like me they are a family business. Their story on why they started Osea is so unique and personal and very healing. You can read the interview with their Founder Jenefer Palmer in my book  “Detox your Home” – which is back in stock!

Wishing you a wonderful Summer and lots of time enjoying long, peaceful days of light and reflection on the beach or wherever that happy place is for you –

Thanks for reading and until next time be well!
