Fun in the Sun!
Hi Everyone -
I can’t believe it is July already. I feel like Summer is flying by!
Thankfully my son has finished school and we are starting to slow down here in NYC if that is possible.
This week I wanted to share a few of my beach must haves and wish everyone a great long weekend and lots of slow days in the sun!
Be safe and be well –
Christine
Sunscreen is confusing right?
I have received several articles in my inbox recently on the harmful ingredients in sunscreen. I know that the mineral based sunscreen is safe for us and the sea, but to be honest I really burn on that and I know I am not the only one. The myth that European or Korean sunscreens are better is a bit of a lie. They have better UVA protection, but not better ingredients. It is very confusing. I found This article to be very enlightening and helpful. Hope you do too!

Maybe it is marketing, maybe it is because they named it “Pam” which is my late Mom’s name – either way I covet this chair! At $299 it is super pricey for me and I will look for one at a garage sale instead.
What do you think? Is the Pam the best beach chair ever or is a $50 Tommy Bahama better?

Hydrate in style
Here are two of my favorite after beach drinks. I love to take my shower, lotion my skin and then lounge on the couch with one of these. It is the perfect ending to a perfect day!
Watermelon Juice
Blend 1 cup of cold watermelon chunks with half of a freshly squeezed lime. Serve cold. You can add plain seltzer water too for a spritzer!

Holy Basil Water
Tulsi or Holy Basil is my favorite herb to hydrate with. Fill a Ball jar with fresh filtered water and add a sprig or two of holy basil (washed). Let it sit overnight and drink the next day. You can refill the jar several times with the same sprigs.
Holy Basil is great for so many reasons.
