Hello from NYC where we are still quarantined - as are all of us in North America now.  The sun is shining and I am giving thought to Easter, my favorite holiday that we celebrate.

Easter captures my senses and brings them alive. The flowers and the birdsong, the rebirth of life.  My son was born on the first day of Spring - making it even more joyful for myself and family.

These Easter/Passover holidays will be different.  We are all separated from our loved ones and unable to gather and not one person has not had their world change. We are all facing a new reality.

My husband recently recovered from the COVID19 virus at home and I want to share with you that while it was not easy, he was thankfully able to manage this illness at home.  I think it is important to hear about survival stories as we continue to navigate the uncertainties of this pandemic.

We are in unprecedented times, but as my cousin Paralea said today on our family zoom call, I feel closer to everyone now more than ever.

Our celebrations may look and taste different and my son's Easter basket will be smaller, but this new reality has afforded me more time.  Time to be present - without the need to make everything perfect.  It is an opportunity to focus on what really matters - and that we are all "well-thy" when we have our health.

At Good Home, we we're planning a big launch of a new Laundry Fragrance and Detergent scent.  Hyacinth!  Unfortunately, we are behind.  It is coming, but closer to Mother's Day.

However if you are shopping for a few things for your Easter/Passover holiday, please consider the businesses below.  All are friends of mine, women owned and incredible leaders/givers to their community.  They are still shipping, probably packing the boxes themselves and eager to make your holidays a little brighter.

Wishing you good health and holiday blessings.

Be well -

Christine

They may not be eggs - but no one will mind when they taste these delicious chocolate brownies.  Give Pat Witch a call and tell her I sent you.

If you love Beach Days products - you will love Airlie Moon.  Tucked away in the seaside town of Wilmington in NC, this gem of a shop has the most delightful, beach inspired gifts you will find anywhere.  Julie has carried Good Home since 1995 and is my go to for all my gift needs.  www.airliemoon.com

And if you want to send flowers that make an impression - High Camp Gardenias is the ultimate in flower delivery.  Shipped overnight in a box that is a gift in itself, the hand cut gardenia stems are nothing short of exquisite.  www.highcampsupply.com

And lastly, there are many charities that need our help right now.  If you would like to give to one, consider Red Nose Day.  The purchase of a red nose and any donation is being directed to help impoverished children affected by COVID-19.  https://rednoseday.org

Thank you for this, I especially appreciate your sharing about your husband. I am currently going through the virus myself and I can’t tell you how encouraging it is to hear the good news about someone’s recovery… the focus is so much more on deaths and I needed to read your words, they strengthened me. Also, I can’t wait to be able to do laundry again… washing covid-19 sheets, blankets, and clothes, filling my home once again with the wonderful lavender laundry fragrance! Thank you for this good work that you do!

Your story is one of hope and celebration. I wish you and your family an especially special holiday. It’s so nice to know a little bit about the person behind this company. I have been ordering and recommending your “grass” laundry scent for years now. I give it to friends and family for Christmas. Everyone gets hooked. Best wishes to you and your family. Sincerely, Jan Ross (Arlington, TX)
